To become a chapter officer you must go through an application process. This process will include a resume, a written FCCLA knowledge test, and an interview by the chapter advisor. To apply ask the Advisor Mrs. McDowell for details about becoming an officer.

President

  • Develops agenda for meetings 

  • Presides over meetings using parliamentary procedure

  • Work with officers, and committees to ensure everything gets done

  • Represent the chapter in a positive, and responsible way

Secretary/Finance

  • Keep proficient meeting minutes

  • Manage the financial aspects of the chapter

  • Send the meeting minutes to the chapter advisor, and president 

  • Represent the chapter in a positive, and responsible way

Vice President of Public Relations 

  • Promote the activities of the chapter to the members 

  • Keep track of the the accomplishments of the chapter

  • Make videos, write press releases, create flyers, take photos, and Invite news media to events of the chapter

Vice President of STAR Events

  • Prepare members for STAR events

  • Help with STAR awards, and plan meeting about STAR

  • Have knowledge about STAR events

  • Make sure members are meeting STAR deadlines

Vice President of Outreach

  • Shall create an ice breaker for meetings

  • Coordinate outreach projects for the chapter

  • Promote outreach projects to the chapter members

Vice President of Programs 

  • Coordinate attendance 

  • Create, and carry out recognition plans 

  • Carry out activities to teach members about national programs

District Representative

  • Represent the Franklin FCCLA chapter at the district level

  • Speak on behalf of the Franklin chapter at the district meetings

  • Report back to the chapter about the happening on the district level

Student Council Representative

  • Speak on behalf of FCCLA at student council meetings

  • Represent FCCLA at student council meetings 

  • Report need to know information that happens at student council to FCCLA
